Gaijin Gunpla

And so it is December and the latest (using that term loosely) Perfect Grade kit is released – the PG 00 Gundam Seven Sword/G.

Mine just arrived and I thought I’d share some box shots and contents pictures, but keep in mind much of this kit is the same as the 2009 PG 00 Raiser which means that I don’t really need to show everything.

Let’s start with that PG box.

When the PG Unicorn Gundam I wrote about Bandai’s PG packaging presence and the little details that can be found in one of these monster kits. Looking at a box like this, you can tell it’s a huge deal.

Here is the back of the Seven Sword/G box.

Some close ups of the descriptions.

I like the image for the side of the box as well.

He’s a big, beefy boy.

And here’s the top box flap.

I liked what Bandai did here with the Unicorn and Banshee. The top flap had the Unicorn Mode and when you opened it the flap underneath had the Destroy Mode. So what will I find on the 7S/G?

Well, that’s kind of anticlimactic.

But I won’t dwell on that because it’s what’s inside that counts (this is something I say to my significant other when explaining the couple of kilos I’ve put on since arriving in Australia).

What do we have here? Three boxes.

Here are the GN drives.

And I am digging box A.

Beautiful line art.

I’m just going to lift the lid and peek inside.

More green circles than the Exia?

Now let’s look at Box B.

This is new. Look at all those weapons.

Just a peak.

I think they could have used this extra space a little better.

We could have had even more plastic with this thing!

Manual shots.

I see what you did there.

So I’ve got my work cut out for me, but this isn’t even the only big arrival this month.

That’s right. I’ve got another big-boxed RG kit coming in the form of the RG Full Armor Unicorn which arrives in less than a week

That Unicorn is also not the only big arrival to my place this month.

I got myself another one of these.

Say goodbye to any more free time.

Congrats Syd! The kid looks cute!

Oh, and the PG looks neat too. Definite shame it’s just the 09 release with new weapons (and some differences to the 00).

Should be about midnight down there, if I’m not mistaken (depending which part of Australia you live in, of course).
I wish all the best to you and your (now larger) family for the new year!
