Thanks to everyone who took the time to participate in the July 2016 Donate and Win contest even though it is the height of summer and many people are off having family vacations and a little more ‘me’ time. Can’t say enough how your support is appreciated here. For the August edition I’ve chosen a recent release kit that I really looked forward to before its arrival and then knew, just due to the timing of the release, that I wouldn’t be able to get to it for some time. It is a perfect candidate for the Donate and Win.
MG Geara Doga [Unicorn Ver.]
Another massive MG that you first saw here, it is one of the kits I look back at more fondly as time goes by and that’s probably why I pulled the trigger and placed the order. The kit is the same as the regular release Geara Doga but does have some additions as well. Here are the box contents.
Okay, you can’t really see much from this shot.
Immediately, the giant shield catches your eye. It’s a huge piece of plastic.
And that’s only part of it.
I remember with fondness using these things in the construction of the Doga.
It was a lot of fun to try those out and they worked great.
The new parts are indicated in the insert that supplements the regular release’s manual.
You’ll have to use this sheet to assemble these.
And of course you have markings unique to this kit including a large water-slide sheet.
Love those effect parts.
The front of the insert shows some shots of the finished kit but I’ll include a couple more from Bandai’s page so you can see what you are entering to win.
Just like last time, to join in this, and to help me out while doing so, all you need to do is click the ‘Support Gaijin Gunpla’ button I put into the right sidebar right below the comments field.
Good luck everyone! If you need me I’ll be finishing up my review for the MG Full Armour Gundam Ver Ka Thunderbolt kit. I’m at 3,935 words.
