Starting today (I’m assuming I post this on Thursday, the 13th of August) I have the annual summer holidays known in Japan as Obon. This is normally when families travel to pray at shrines or graves where deceased loved ones are laid to rest. It also means I’m not working for a couple of days. I will be doing some travelling and some visiting and some other things which means likely I won’t be able to post about what I’ve been doing when it comes to Gunpla. And I had so much stuff ready to go, I just haven’t had a chance to take the pictures I need (aside from a couple quick iPhone shots just for this post).
I wanted to write about the RG Destiny Gundam Heine Westenfluss Color Ver.
A Gunpla Expo kit from a couple of years ago that I procrastinated over for a couple of years but finally took the plunge and I’m glad I did. It’s a beauty.
I wanted to write about another limited kit, the HG Pale Rider.
Another kit that turned out to be a lot of fun.
I wanted to sit down and write a review about the HG Denial Gundam.
And I wanted to write my thoughts about the newest RE/100, the Dijeh.
But don’t fret, fellow Gunplars! I will get around to writing about all this and more. As soon as I take care of that other thing. What is that other thing I just hinted at, you ask? Well, I’m moving. Again.
Due to a fairly long list of reasons it turns out now is a good time for me to slightly relocate myself and so I am currently in the middle of packing things up while also unboxing plastic runners and assembling Gundam. How can those two things co-exist? Very carefully, is the answer. I figure if I get some of the backlog built I can have the pictures taken and the posts written before I move so that I can pack the kits without having to worry about unpacking them right away when I settle into my new place.
This means I need to get off my ass and (while packing) slap the water-slide decals onto the PG Unicorn Gundam. I promised myself I would have it done before the PG Banshee Norn arrives. Yikes! Lots on my plate (which is on my Work Table… buried underneath runners).
I hope everyone, holiday or not, enjoys the next few days and the weekend. I’ll be back before you know it with more Plamo to present.
