Gaijin Gunpla

Ya, I’m a sucker for Limited Edition kits but I’m also a big fan of MG kits so this new one from Bandai hits both buttons and I really couldn’t avoid picking it up. I didn’t try either.

I saw this at the Gunpla Expo and was immediately intrigued.

This isn’t part of the main Gundam storyline but shows up in a side story called Evolve 9, which just so happens to appear on the box.

Speaking of the box, it is quite sizable. Here is a comparison shot:

It’s a fat sucker. That makes sense when you see what comes inside.

One of the things that first caught my eye when I approached the kit was the colour choice.

Orange! Alongside that is a very distinct type of yellow.

If you said vomit-yellow I probably wouldn’t argue.

It also comes with a huge stand which you really need with a transforming kit this size.

And the weapon is huge!

One other aspect of this kit worth mentioning, the huge amount of stickers.

One of those sheets is actually waterslides.

You’ll be kept quite busy putting all those on.

Looks like a winner to me!

a bit disappointed with p-bandai with this kit….too much gold stickers considering its an exclusive MG.

Seriously? How else did you expect them to do all those stripes, paint them on for you?

I’ve always wondered why it’s calle the Grey Zeta. Grey is one colour it isnt.

      • Shack says:

It’s called Gray Zeta because the pilot was Shin Matsunaga who had the nickname Gray Wolf.

I like the looks of it. But the Red Zeta looks much more menacing.

I was hoping it would be all water slides like the hi nu

  4. Paul Emical* says:

If I recall correctly, it was called like that because it was piloted by Shin Matsunaga, whose nick/codename was “Gray Wolf”.

I have built this kits (nearly finish), but there’re a lot unnecessary parts. So I know why the price of P-bandai always be at top. Damn!!!
