Gaijin Gunpla

Of course Bandai released, as a premium item, an expansion set for the Hi Nu Ver Ka. Of course! Actually, while I think Bandai could be called guilty of pimping the plamo (and I’m definitely a willing participant) I’m glad to see this. “Don’t make the HWS set for the Hi NU Ka”, said no one ever.

So what is in this set?

Let me list it.

*Chest Armour Unit
*Shoulder missiles (multiple dispensers)
*Front skirt armour
*Leg Thruster units
*Hi Mega Shield
*Hyper Bazooka
*Shield
*Water-slide decals

Speaking of those decals.

Holy crap that’s a lot of markings. Looks like almost as many as the normal kit has.

Here are some grey parts.

Inside this bag were foil stickers.

My guess is Bandai just decided to throw the originals in rather than make a new sheet that has just the stickers for the bazooka.

Here is a frame runner.

And white armour parts.

Bazooka and shield parts.

The instruction manual.

And the marking guide is three pages! Here are two of them.

And now I’m a little sad. I’ve been working on the Sazabi Ver Ka with only the water-slides to go and my plan had been to finish that up and jump on the Hi Nu. As I haven’t gotten to the Hi Nu yet he currently still looks like this.

Poor guy. He’s naked. All his clothes are scattered about.

Okay. This weekend I’ll have a lengthy decal session.

I promise.

Unless something comes up.

    “Unless something comes up.”

All Japan Model $ Hobby Show 2014 and the BIG gunpla announcement.

Btw Syd are you stocked about the new RG Wing Zero Custom for December (apparently not THE kit)

Well now Gundam Guy website revealed that there’s gonna be a Perfect Grade Unicorn…with full LED psycho frame gimmick!

Gundam Guy got his info from me. I think I was the first person to post on facebook about it. By the way, the full LED gimmick is sold separately.

Heh, is it sad that I pre-ordered the HWS but have yet to order the Hi-Nu? Also, while were talking about kits that have been announced, right now I’m most looking forward to the MG Talgeese 3.

I hope the BIG kit is going to be a PG…

  3. Evan says:

Figured you would get this. You can build it in two different forms, correct?

  4. Jesreel Gallardo II says:

Awwww man so feeling so jealous right now as i can’t order this at HLJ. That is the only thing missing from HLJ which is the P-Bandai items. cause most of us have to depend on local Hobby store to bring it in and charge us Double the original price. if only HLJ can bring in stock of P-Bandai stuff *Hint *Hint.

  5. Flame says:

Can the HWS be attached to the Nu? I think that it would look really good on the Nu ver Ka. Lol

  6. NL says:

so, the question is, can it be mounted on the MG Nu Gundam Ver Ka as well?

    Hey Syd,

Will we get to see the Hi-V decked out in the HWS, with a review maybe? There’s not much about it online, but no pressure.

I just picked up my HWS here, and am waiting for the kit to arrive, end of this month.

I am working on it. I wanted to show it but I also want to finish painting the Hi Nu. It’s in pieces on my desk and got pushed back when the PG Unicorn and RG Wing showed up.

      • ichbineinebanana says:

Wow. I can only imagine the workload you go through.I hope I didnt come off as too demanding. :O

Cheers for the reply, and happy building!

      • syd says:

Don’t worry. You didn’t come off as demanding at all. I’m glad you wrote what you dd. I’m always trying to post what I think people want to see so to get a little reminder or nudge from time to time is a good thing.

I’m kinda torn at the moment.

    Which should I get?

    The Nu Gundam Ver. Ka

    OR

Hi-Nu Gundam Ver. Ka with the HWS

Due to budget constraints, I can only get one and both look really good.

Hope you can help and nice reviews by the way.

    Thank you very much.

Given those two choices, I would probably go with the Hi Nu and the HWS because you’re getting an extra set in there and that gives you more to do with the kit. The Nu Gundam Ver Ka is a great kit, though, so if you choose that instead I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
