Gaijin Gunpla

Bandai released their Online Shop Exclusive Wings of Light to coincide with many people finishing the builds of their kits. Actually, I don’t know if that was the intention or not but that’s how it worked out for a great many people. Mine happened to arrive the same day that my daughter had an impromptu play-date so while Gai-Gun Jr. and her friend ate snacks and made crafts I sat at the kitchen table and opened up the package.

That’s the front of the package. I actually think this is a rather classy look. Back of the package looks like this:

RG Destiny looks good, but you’ll really need a stand to get the most out of them. Oh, wait, what’s this inside the box?

A stand!

Sweet!
Here are the wings themselves along with the screws for the stand.

And the instruction sheet.

So the majority of the time with this gentei release are spent building the stand.

And all you need to do when it comes to the wings is to cut off a little tab from the left one.

Then you can attach them to your Destiny and take it for a test run.

That looks like a fantastic addition to the kit. It’s a pity Bandai forget about us foreigners though….

    Sweet!!! Looks very cool!

While they look nice, I think adding in some more of the effect parts (similar to the MG Extreme Blast Mode) would have made this more worthy of the “exclusive” title. Impressive nonetheless!

Wonder what it’d look like with an LED or two behind the wings… Have to keep that in mind.

This reminds me, i need to buy new tiny screw drivers so I can assemble the stand when I get it.

i think that the wings should either be included in the kit or not be that expensive.
