Gaijin Gunpla’s facebook page has reached 1,000 likes. Can you believe it? I can’t. I still remember being excited when I hit 500.
As I neared 1,000 and I knew I wanted to do something special for the big one-o-o-o. What best to award to Gunplars but Gunpla itself. But what to give? I pondered giving away one of the kits I haven’t started yet, but that’s small time and this is 1,000 likes. So instead I decided I’d approach my sponsor and ask for something cool.
HobbyLink Japan came to bat for me and offered me this kit to giveaway:
Yup, that’s the 1/100 MG MSN-06S Sinanju Stein Ver. Ka! You know you want it!
However, there is a catch. This is a contest and not just a giveaway. I had first thought to just award the Sinanju Stein to a randomly chosen person from amongst the 1,000 + facebook likes but while that is fair for everyone, let’s face it, it’s just not as much fun. Instead, I’m going to take advantage of you facebookers’ skills.
So here’s what we’re going to do:
gaijin-gunpla.com was started in September of 2010 (before that my home was on blogspot and for the most part I’ve done most of the look myself as evidenced by this rather boring block of text. Even the banner of the site hasn’t been changed since the beginning (but to be honest that is one cool banner and I never thought it needed changing). My presence on the internet is usually just the words Gaijin Gunpla in the PortagolTT TC font. Should I change that?
So everyone, all you have to do for a shot at the Sinanju Stein is create a logo for Gaijin Gunpla. It can be anything you want, in any color, anything! Post your logo on the Gaijin Gunpla facebook wall for others to admire and like. Whomever’s logo rises above (by a combination of likes and my evaluation) by March 15, 2013 will receive a message from me wondering where to send their MG Sinanju Stein.
Disclaimer: I can’t guarantee the logos entered into the contest will be used ‘officially’ on Gaijin Gunpla.com or to represent me on the various Gunpla forums, etc. but entrants may be contacted by me in the near future asking for their advice and help/services related to other projects I’ve got in the works.
Good luck, I can’t wait to see what you’ve got for me!
