I’m really busy. Really busy. This time of the year brings not only an increase in temperature and birthdays, but also such unpleasant things as fiscal year ends which involves a lot of frenetic work. So I hope you’ll forgive me if this post is shorter than my usual monthly rambling.
Normally I start this post with stuff that is…
No Longer on the Work Table
But as you can see, I haven’t completed anything this month. Some things are close, and some a ways away so all can be seen in the stuff currently…
On the Work Table
1/144 RG MkII AEUG
This guy is almost done. I have weathered the white armor parts but need to pick up a light-grey or white Real Touch Marker in order to finish the dark armor. I first put a gloss coat on this guy to protect all the stickers but I am experiencing problems getting the Real Touch Markers to stick to the gloss-coat so what I have decided to do is flat-coat it once the first layer of weathering is done and then do a second layer and then a final top-coat.
But I’ve been spending more of my time Sonic Marasai.
Last month I wrote how I felt the MG Marasai reminded me of this fellow.
So my goal now is to try and create a Marasai that looks like Sonic the Hedgehog. Or is it create a Sonic that looks like a Marasai. I’m confusing myself. Here’s where I am at so far.
Sonic has some slender limbs so I knew the Marasai’s legs would have to go. For replacements I turned to this kit.
Yup, Char’s Zaku II 2.0. In the picture you’ll notice both the legs and arms have quite a few Zaku parts there, but I will save the details for when I write another WIP post. Needless to say, it’s about to get interesting.
With the Marasai the focus another kit has had to wait its turn. Again.
1/100 MG Full Armor Unicorn Gundam Ver.Ka
Ya. We are still at this stage.
All in good time.
Another kit I have been working on is the MG Blitz
So far just the torso and head are done but it’s looking pretty great so far. I’ve already thought of some modifications I want to try.
I’ve also got a test-built MG Infinite Justice sitting on my table so the review for that is on its way.
And last but not least.
Coming to the Work Table.
RG Justice Gundam
1/144 RG ZGMF-X09A Justice Gundam
I was (and still am) eager to get my hands on this kit. And then I saw this.
RG Justice De-active Mode!
And when I saw that I also saw this!
RG RX-78-2 Gundam Ver. GFT
Bandai knows how to get me. Wiggle the old RG carrot in front of my face.
