Things seem to have picked up as Golden Week approached. With the better weather things are getting painted and topcoated in preparation for decals while other things are in the middle of their build and new kits were popping up all over the place. Let’s recap where I’m at so far.
No Longer on the Work Table
I painted the red and blue on this kit with Tamiya’s red and blue and the yellow was changed to Brilliant Orange. After that all I did was panel line with marker and put on the dry transfers and stickers. And it looks awesome! Check out the gallery here and the WIP here.
That’s all I have to show for a completed project this month, but this next part is going to be pretty large.
On the Work Table but Tucked in a Corner Out of the Way (Not under the Work Table, though)…
The Review is finally finished and Duel Gundam is back in his box awaiting some time and a little bit more inspiration. I know one modification I definitely will do but the color scheme has yet to be decided upon.
1/100 MG Full Armor Unicorn Gundam Ver.Ka
The Zebracorn is still a go and more has been done, though I have yet to post it. However, recent arrivals have pushed this guy out of the way for now.
1/100 MG Gundam AGE-1 Titus
This guy is also being infringed upon by new, cool stuff. I have the color scheme for this in mind but I think I’ll be adding panel lines and some things so I have to plan those.
1/100 MG Crossbone Gundam X-1 Ver. Ka
This guy is going to have to wait a little longer like the others. To be honest, I don’t see myself coming back to it for some time. Whenever I start thinking of mods and painting schemes the Crossbone isn’t at the top of the list.
Now back to your regularly scheduled…
On the Work Table
1/100 MG RX-0 Unicorn Gundam 02 Banshee
The Banshee decaling is underway. This is going to take some time. I finished the first session the other night (2 and a half hours) and I’ll be doing another one tomorrow. I think it will take three sessions. It’s been fun so far (I have a twisted sense of fun).
MG MS-06K Zaku Cannon
The build has been a bit of a trip through the past and I’ve enjoyed it. The future for this thing, though, has me apprehensive. I’m undecided as to how to approach it. Focus 100% of my efforts on it until its done, or work on it a small bit at a time so as not to burn myself out? I want to do it right.
A recent arrival to the Work Table is the newest Real Grade kit!
1/144 RG RX-178 Gundam Mk-II Titans Version
The Titans was delayed by a day but the AEUG version is delayed for a couple of weeks while they sort out an issue of some kind. That threw a monkey wrench into my plans a bit. I wanted to build them and review them at the same time. Well, I’m adaptable. So far…
it’s amazing! I did, however, make a quite sizable error when building this frame. I’ll talk about that and the solution when I write the first RG Titans WIP post.
And a recent arrival made its way onto my Work Table.
This is a bit of a sneak peak because I’m not supposed to officially write anything for a couple of days but I thought my loyal readers deserved to see it, if only a glimpse.
Now let’s look into the not-so-distant future.
Coming to the Work Table
1/144 RG RX-178 Gundam Mk-II AEUG Version
I’m not really hyped for the stuff coming in May. The MG Marasai has been looking good in test shots as has the HG M1 Astray which might be the only HG I’ve been keeping my eye on. Maybe it’s a good thing that I won’t be getting much new stuff in May. I’ve already got plenty to work on. How’s everyone else doing?
