kit: MG MS-07B Gouf Ver.2.0
wow! when ever i saw this kit online i never though it could turn out this great. this is awesome!
this IS awesome. i admire your dedication man, you really pumped this out. looking great!
I'm always a bit put off with gloss finishes on Gundam kits but you've pulled that off really nicely…well done:).
Thanks everyone. I did push it out really fast, but that was because I was enjoying myself the whole time. I was going to panel line it but the Blue Mica looks so clean I didn't want to dirty it up at all. Like JQ stated, the gloss finish turned out really we.
Wow ~ its really nice n shine ~
Can i know What TS tamiya spray u using ? Is it Mica Blue TS50 ?
Yes, it is the TS50 Mica Blue. The darker parts are TS50 over Tamiya's SemiGloss Black.
Ooo ~ i was planning use on mica blue too ~
but it turn out that quiet dark blue ~i was planned to use TS 51 Racing blue ~
i wanted quiet light bit bit blue ~ any suggestion here ? cause im not so familiar with Tamiya TS spray ~
So far i survey is for the lighter outer armor part
TS51 – Racing BlueTS19 – Metallic BlueTS51 – Light Metallic BlueTS50 – Mica Blue
and for the Darker outer armor part TS53 – Dark Metallic BlueTS64 – Dark Mica Blue
What is your suggestion for the combination for the blue ?I wanted the light part with lighter metallic blue effect ~
Hi Kellefe, Thanks for the comments. I looked at your list and looked at the Tamiya color spray chart to try and make a determination based on your preferences. I then went and had a look at the Tamiya spray shelf and compared colors. You are missing one blue, the TS54 Light Metallic Blue. I think this would be meet your needs for the light armor parts. It's probably the lightest, metallic blue Tamiya puts out.
For the darker blue armor parts, The TS51 Racing blue contrasts well with the TS54 (based on me holding the cans next to each other).
You can see the chart here (it's the middle one)http://www.tamiyausa.com/articles/feature.php?article-id=72
In the end, it is your project so you should go with what you think is best.
Let me know what you think and definitely send me a link to your finished model, I am really looking forward to seeing it.
Oh ~ Thanks for the opinion ~Due to i experienced that the Tamiya Chart colour tone is different from the reality ~
So im search for your consult which i think u are familiar with those TS colour ~
The colour selection that u suggestion is almost in my mind now ~I think i will check the colour out in local store which i have to take around 1-2 hour journey ~
Btw really thank you for your guidance ~Do you mind adding me up in MSN ?
Oops ~ Forget to ask you that is the TS 50 Mica Blue and TS 19 Metallic Blue having almost the same tone ??
Erm ~ i found a blue that i wanted to achieve ~http://forum.zerogunz.com/viewtopic.php?f=69&t=6342
it is on the middle one ~ the blue zaku ~any tamiya TS have this kind of blue ?
That definitely is a nice Zaku and most probably was airbrushed. The best thing about using an airbrush, besides the even coat, is the ability to dial in your own colours. I don't know if you will find a Tamiya colour to match that. There is Tamiya TS44 Brilliant Blue which may be close but isn't a metallic as far as I know.
OIC ~ for the mica blue and metallic blue ~are them having almost the same tone ?
Good question. I don't have a can of metallic blue handy so I can't compare the two at this time. If that changes, I will let you know. If you find out the answer before I do, let me know.
seriously nice pics and an outstanding build from you Ess Squared.
